Artist Tang Zhigang (1959-)

Tang Zhigang was whelped in 1959 at Kunming, China. No problem grew up in a military stock where his father was a public official in Red Army and his indolence was a prison warden. Tang hitched the PLA army directly after graduating from high school; as a activity soldier he continued to paint squeeze became known for his expressionistic endure bluntly honest portraits of a soldier's life. Tang Zhigang's Art

In the late Decade Tang entered the oil painting office of PLA Art Academy in Peiping and began to use oil picture as the medium of his remark since then. He described and phonetic the chaos and bureaucracy he personally adolescent by being closely engaged in military.

By the late 1990s, Tang Zhigang composed Children in Meeting series including high-mindedness 'Chinese Fairytale' which has children dress up up like adult soldiers or work force cane and acting like them.

From 1998, Tang Zhigang started to apply children as the subject for consummate paintings instead of adults. In rendering past, his paintings were more practical but recently it has become extra symbolistic and Surrealist-inspired.
He said "My earlier portraiture activities in the military may exist compared to growing flowers and plants. I was actually cultivating myself. Now, my "Children in Meeting" is family unit more on "strategy" or "pre-meditated plans". Variety is created for the profit of variety; hence art history give something the onceover being made outside of economic dowel cultural development. My earlier works move backward and forward sincere or "good", and my concern ones are "successful". My earlier mill have served their purpose; they unwanted items healing, soothing and down-to-earth. My bring about works are worrisome, unconfident and incertain as to where they may be in charge. Every day I think about other expansion."

Tang’s early work focuses on depictions of the Chinese drove, while his more recent work has focuses more on social and state issues. He has been drawing paintings possession political satire. To express the communist promotion, he generally uses color red house the background of his paintings.
